Five of Pentacles: Don’t be Afraid to Lead…

five of pentacles tarot card
Tarot of Mermaids

You may feel an urge to help someone today, but a voice in your head will say but I’m no expert or I’m not qualified or some nonsense along those lines.

You don’t have to be miles ahead of someone to help them on their life path – you only need to be two steps ahead. The Five of Pentacles suggests you are needed in a helping role, but worry that because you struggle with the same issues as the person your helping, you could make matters worse.

Your life experience lets you relate to others with similar challenges. This allows you to be compassionate and understanding – so don’t kid yourself and think that you aren’t good enough to be a valuable role model. Your experience is needed today.

  1. Hi Kate, as usual this resonates as I have been in a position where I think, ” can I really help and advise someone else when I don’t have all my stuff totally together? ” But then if I think back to when I was in a similar situation and came out of it, then I can truly act and speak from a place of understanding and compassion.
    Have a fab day!

  2. I did! I kept moving forward with something despite not being sure that I’m qualified and some passing thoughts about “who do I think I am”!

    Thanks for the affirmation, Kate.

  3. This is a constant struggle for me. Do I really know. Can I help others. This is, again, to the point, not for today but longer.

    1. I agree – its a constant struggle for me as well – I think most people in helping roles struggle with this, so we are in good company.

  4. Thank you!

This was major confirmation for me, and I don’t really think it was no accident that I received this much later in the day than usual ….while going back and forth, trying to decide if I should initiate a particular project or not. 🙂

    1. Your welcome 🙂 My blog had a glitch and didn’t post the reading when i scheduled it, so I’m glad to hear that worked out for you! I knew there must have been a reason for it!
