Ten of Stones ~ Tarot Card for Wednesday

wildwood tarot
Wildwood Tarot

The Ten of Stones (aka Ten of Pentacles) is the Tarot card I drew this morning and it speaks of the important role that your home environment plays in feeding your spirit and creative energy.

When your home is a comforting place of respite, it acts as a recharge station for your soul, leaving you feeling safe, inspired and excited about the work you do in the world.

Don’t overlook the power of your living environment! If the energy of your home is flowing nicely, this will trickle into all areas of your life. So take a few moments to evaluate your home life.

When you are at home do you feel calm, happy, safe? Or do you feel stressed, tired and depressed? Sometimes just making a few small changes (like clearing clutter) can make a world of difference!

Tarot Reading for Monday ~ Fighting (Osho Zen)

osho zen tarot fighting
Osho Zen Tarot by Ma Deva Padma

Today’s Tarot card is “Fighting” (Knight of Air) from the Osho Zen Tarot deck. His message is that all outer conflict that we experience is really just our inner conflict expressing itself.

When we have inner conflict and reject any parts of ourselves, we project it outward and it manifests in the form of disliking others and having minor and major squabbles. If you notice yourself getting triggered by someone else’s behavior today, take a moment to check in with yourself to see what it is that is bothering you so much.

This Osho Zen Tarot card also suggests that often, the fighting is mostly in our heads. Our ego/mind is very defensive and easily feels threatened and can sometimes seek conflict simply to make itself feel stronger and more right. Of course, this is usually done subconsciously, so we aren’t always aware of what we are doing.

Today you will have an opportunity to catch your mind in its egoic thinking – whenever you feel a sense of fear, diminishment or the need to be right, you will know that this is the ego in action. This is most likely come up when you are interacting with someone and trying to communicate your point of view.

Remind yourself that it is safe to “take off the armor” when communicating with others. This requires being genuine about what you are feeling and what you are needing from that person. This might make you feel vulnerable, but there will be no true communication until this happens!

Strength ~ Tarot Card for Thursday

intuitive-tarot-cilla-conway
The Intuitive Tarot by Cilla Conway

Today I drew the Strength Tarot card – one of my favourite cards!!! The message today is that it is okay to make friends with your animal nature and find the beauty in being strong without being forceful.

Don’t be afraid to take advantage of your primal gifts, particularly those of power and sexuality. The Strength Tarot card speaks to our sexual nature and its need for respect and control, minus the suppression.

Society has long held an innate fear of human sexuality and there seems to be a fear that if not suppressed and controlled, it could go crazy and destroy civilization. Many people feel this way about their own sexuality – that it could ruin their lives if allowed to go unchecked.

Today is a good day to rethink this assumption. Stepping into your own power and expanding your spiritual horizons involves developing a deep bond with your sexual self and shedding some of the long held guilt, fear and anxiety around sex.

Another message I get with this card is that you may need to be subtle, yet firm with someone today. Do not be afraid to be assertive – you will still come across as likeable if you communicate in a way that is open and positive. Be clear about your needs and expectations.

Osho Zen Tarot Card for the Weekend!

osho zen tarot card
Osho Zen Tarot

The Osho Zen Tarot card “Politics” reminds us to be ourselves this weekend and to enjoy being authentic and honest in all our dealings with others.

If you find yourself having to mask your true feelings and desires in order to fit in socially, you might notice that you feel drained, stressed or cut off from your true self.

Can you imagine what it would be like if you expressed your true feelings in public without worrying about how others see you? How would it feel to stop trying to convince others that you are a good/smart/interesting person?

This Osho Zen Tarot card has another meaning – when you embrace your “shadow self” you lose the need to hide part of yourself from others. What parts of yourself have you rejected and disowned? What aspect of yourself do you suppress and hide? The more you work towards embracing these disowned selves, the freer you are to experience your wonderful qualities. An interesting film and book on this subject that is worth checking out is The Shadow Effect.

Ten of Wands ~ Tarot Card for Wednesday

crystal visions tarot
Crystal Visions Tarot by Jennifer Galasso

The message of the Ten of Wands tarot card is not to let life bog you down! Learn to say no to requests that you do not wish to fulfill and don’t be tempted to take on more than you need to today.

Sometimes we take on too many things at once – either because we feel a sense of obligation or duty or even because at the time, a new project or event seemed exciting and fun. But if you are feeling weighed down by everything that you need to do, its time to take a step back and drop those things that are not truly important.

You want to move through the adventure of life feeling unencumbered, being able to experience things here and there but not feeling like your life is dragging you down and holding you back from experiencing things. Choose wisely what you would like to spend time on and where you direct your energy. This includes who you choose to spend time with, what you read, watch and think about. You don’t have to constantly sensor yourself, but choose things that lift your spirits and leave you feeling fulfilled and enriched.

If you are feeling overwhelmed right now, make a list of everything you must do. Now ask yourself:

  • Is there anything on this list that can wait or that can be scratched off completely?
  • Can I delegate anything on this list to someone else?
  • Use colored highlighters to designate high, medium and low priority tasks
  • What would help you the most in getting through this list calmly and productively?

The Ten of Wands Tarot Card has come up today to remind you that how you spend your time is in YOUR power and no one elses!

Daily Tarot Reading for Monday ~ Existence

osho zen tarot
Osho Zen Tarot

Today’s daily tarot reading is all about feeling at home no matter where you are. Many of us are always searching for that perfect job, home or partner so we can feel “settled” or “at home” when in reality it has nothing to do with these things.

This week, focus on feeling “at home” in your body, mind and spirit. When you make peace with yourself, it doesn’t matter where you are or what you are doing, you will always feel at home.

The other message I got with this card is that we are all powerful creators who are an important part of the universe. What we think and feel creates the world around us and so this week will also be about becoming conscious of how we are directing our thoughts and feelings. Take a moment to recognize your ability to manifest and celebrate all the great things in your life that you have created and attracted to you.

Daily Oracle Card Reading for Thursday

purification white tara oracle card
Ascended Masters Oracle by Doreen Virtue

Today’s daily oracle card is Purification ~ White Tara. The need for cleansing and clearing are indicated by this card, on both physical and energetic levels.

Habits, thoughts, emotions and energies are held within our auric fields and need to be periodically cleansed so we don’t get stuck in a rut and bogged down with all the buildup.

Breathing techniques such as Kapalabhati breath can help cleanse your body of toxins, as well as infrared saunas, yoga, vigorous exercise and drinking plenty of water with lemon juice. And you can cleanse your mind of old thought forms through regular meditation.

Avoiding things that bring your energy down to a low state is also a form of purification. Try going a day or two without listening, watching or reading the news and notice how much more energized you feel.

Ask yourself: What can I do today that would help cleanse my mind, body and spirit?

The Star Tarot Card Reading for Wednesday

druidcraft tarot the star
The Druidcraft Tarot by Stephanie Carr-Gomm and Will Worthington

Today’s card is The Star tarot card and her message is this: Let go and let life flow. Don’t try to make things happen, just sit back, relax into your life and watch things unfold before you.

If you are feeling stressed out about things, surrender your “problems” to your higher self/god/goddess or angels before going to bed and trust that everything will work out as it should.

Your potential as a human being is far greater when you take a relaxed, trusting approach to life, stop doing and start being. It is important to remain open to higher energies right now as they will help you guide your life in the direction that will be most rewarding for you.

Get in touch with your inner peacefulness today by meditating on the sound of water. Here is a relaxing youtube video to get you started. As you listen to the sound of the running water, notice how it seems to wash away any mental tension and refreshes your spirit. As you go about your day today, remember to tune into that relaxed, peaceful, trusting energy of The Star tarot card – this will bring you closer to your higher self and your life purpose.

Eight of Cups ~ Daily Tarot Card Reading for Tuesday

new palladini tarot eight of cups
New Palladini Tarot Deck

The Eight of Cups tarot card symbolizes leaving something behind in order to find deeper fulfillment and meaning.

When something becomes old and outworn, such as a job, relationship, belief system, or goal, it is important to recognize when it is not longer helping you expand and grow so that you can move on with your journey.

You are a journeyer of life, always in search of that which makes you come alive and blossom. Part of you realizes that security often equals stagnancy and you will not settle for a life of dull predictability.

The Eight of Cups suggests that you may have worked hard to achieve whatever it is that you are leaving behind, but you would rather wander off into the unknown than to remain doing something familiar yet unfulfilling for the sake of comfort.

However, be sure that you are clear on what it is that you are searching for and ask yourself if it may be something that you can find within yourself rather than in outside circumstances.

Ace of Wands ~ Daily Tarot Reading for Sat & Sun

paulina tarot ace of wands
Paulina Tarot by Paulina Cassidy

This weekend is the perfect time to study or explore something that interests you! Take a workshop, try a new craft, experiment with a new mode of artistic expression or read an engaging how-to book. Whatever you do, this weekend is all about learning new skills and doing what excites you.

The owl in this card suggests that your true wisdom can be accessed when you fully engage yourself in what you love to do. Particularly when you are feeling playful and joyous. We often think that “wisdom” and “playfulness” don’t really go together, but here in this Ace of Wands, they do!

I get the sense that gardening will be an important part of this weekend for many of you, as will be spending time in nature and watching birds and other critters go about their day. Be on the lookout for owls this weekend….

You are on the cusp of a new beginning and about to come into your own wisdom and see things with a fresh set of eyes. Keep an open mind and a playful attitude!
