Daily Tarot Reading for Thursday ~ The Archer

Wildwood Tarot

Happy Thursday! Today’s Tarot card is an exciting one – The Archer from the Wildwood Tarot, also known as The Chariot in most decks.

The Archer is here to tell you all about the importance of focus and the need to cut out all distractions that pull you away from your main goal. Get focused today and you will be amazed at what you accomplish!

Ask yourself this: what will help me minimize distractions today?

It helps to think of “minimizing distractions” as a form of kindness to yourself. For example, telling yourself that you will refrain from checking your email while writing (something I am doing today!), since your writing life is important and worth your undivided attention.

You deserve your own undivided attention!

    A) I’m delighted that you’re spending some focused time with your writing! Yay, you!
    B) It’s almost 4 a.m., my time, and I’ve been working focusedly and diligently on my presentation for the last, jeez, almost eight hours. (I also did two loads of laundry–whoo-hoo!) It’s like I was totally channeling The Archer–which, by the way, is one of my favorite cards from the Wildwood. For some reason, it was The Archer that helped me really understand The Chariot–not the other way around.

Okay. I’m not quite done, and tonight (this morning!) is the only time left to do it. Back at it, commands The Archer!

Wow! You are a nighttime worker – that is interesting, I also find I am most productive at those crazy hours, but I don’t often indulge my urge to stay up and work. Yes, my writing – I have just had an amazing idea for a novel, so I am doing lots of note-taking on all my ideas that seem to be pouring in. The Archer really helped me see the Chariot in a different light, too. I think its a wonderful card.
