Pick Your Battles…Then Enjoy Them to the Fullest! (Thursday)

five of rods
New Palladini Tarot
The Five of Rods is the Tarot card of the day and its all about conflict, minor battles and competitiveness. Fur is going to fly!

You may find yourself thinking “why can’t we all just get along?” or “wouldn’t it be nice if we all could live in peace?”

Indeed, it would be very nice…and boring. Did it ever occur that perhaps you create your own dramas to keep yourself entertained, even if its stressful?

The wisdom of this card is that differences of opinion and wills are inevitable, but you don’t need to go around engaging in this kind of crap 24-7.

Pick your battles wisely, but then engage in them fully. Its okay to enjoy an argument every now and then. Just don’t take it all too seriously.

  1. Kate–

I really love–and learn from–the way you always are able to present both sides of a card’s energy. It’s so great to remember that there’s a time and place for everything–but, as you say, “you don’t need to go around engaging in this kind of crap 24-7”!

    Happy Thursday.

  2. This is too funny! I did a 5 card daily reading for myself and this card, the 5 of Wands was the final one in the reading! I don’t like conflict, but it can be good to stir the pot and keep the blood flowing! Thanks Kate!

    1. Hi Marcie – that’s so cool you got the same card in your reading! I tend to avoid conflict as well…but every now and then my dark side emerges – it keeps things interesting!

  3. I certainly know some people who thrive on drama and battles–gets a bit tiring!
That said, life would be very boring if there were never any ups and downs.
A bit of mental sparring is quite enjoyable and I think that’s what today is going to bring for me.

Thanks as always Kate, love reading your daily post.

    1. You are so welcome, Denise 🙂 Yes, I agree – constant drama is a total drain, but a little occasional drama is a blast!
