Two of Swords ~ Decision Time!

Animal Wisdom Tarot by Dawn Brunke

A decision is upon you, but what do you choose? That is the dilemma. You feel you must close off your heart in order to choose rationally, but then you just feel totally confused.

The Two of Feathers, aka Two of Swords urges you to not take this so seriously. This is not as important as you think. So relax!

The more you think about this and try to solve the problem with your mind, the more confused you will be. You may not be able to solve this one with thinking, so try not thinking about it and see what happens.

Often, a solution will present itself with just a little time and a whole lot less thinking!

  1. What a welcome message! I’m having a heck of a day so far and its all because I’m overthinking my life again….for now I’m going to have a cup of herbal tea and read a new book I found, “The Isle of Avalon”.

  2. With the two of swords I’ll always focus on the inner calm before the decision. It is almost an period of introspection instead of stress 😀

Thanks for this thought about the Two of Swords. I always read it as being stuck and unwilling to make a decision. But with your idea, I see that it can also be that period when I need to hold off on making a decision–at least for the moment.

There’s a Twelve-Step saying, “If you can’t make a decision, chances are good you don’t have all the information.” That’s what your take reminds me of.

  3. Kate, you saved my day! Since yesterday evening I’m in a little dilemma, concerning a man…which path to choose… I follow your advice, and will let things/events happen. I let go (thanks to Eckhart Tolle). I like very much that the swords are represented by feathers. Since feathers are tiny, smooth things, it tells me that we don’t need take our mind so seriously. Thanks again! xoxo

yes! Feathers are much more gentle than swords, that’s for sure. Good luck with your man-dilemma 🙂
