Tarot Card Reading for Oct 13 – 19

My camera battery died right at the end of this video! So please see below the video for my wrap-up comments 🙂

And what I would have added if my camera hadn’t died is this: It’s okay to take your time with important decisions this week. Don’t put pressure on yourself, be gentle and take it nice and slow. Your going through some big changes, so it’s nice to have that shell to retreat back under when things get too intense!

Have a great week and feel free to add your own interpretation of these cards in the comments below 🙂

  1. Hi Kate! Great reading! I read it late but it coincided perfectly with my week so far. Especially the epiphanies. Not only did I have them about some major events but I had confirmations of them with friends/family and it seemed like they were just waiting for me to realize the truth of the situation. I do feel like I’m ready to slow down now and just stay home.

    Thanks for the reading!

    1. Thanks Michele – glad you liked the reading and good to hear that it made sense to what’s going on in your life 🙂

  2. I love this how the theme of movement and travel from last week’s reading has carried over into next week. It’s funny how these readings really coincide with me moving towards my goals and doing things that are more align to my life’s purpose, figuring it all out. What you said about questioning and reexamining things makes total sense for me. I also got the Tower in a reading recently with similar impressions, so it lines up.

Although I saw the people I saw the people falling in that reading as catching fire (becoming alight with passion and creativity) and taking flight, rather than just falling, so the upheaval is still there, but I think it’s also a possibility here because the chakras in the figure are being lit up. It’s shocked by lightening, much like how Frankenstein’s monster comes to life- this being the month of Halloween and all. Have a lovely week!

    1. Ha! Only you, Chani would make the connection between Frankenstein and The Tower – but it totally fits, I love it! And I really like your positive spin on this one 🙂

  3. Kate!

All my COTD people, these past few days, are drawing either Wands cards or BIG, fiery energy cards. So I’m not really surprised with your opening two cards.

However, when I look at the first two cards, it looks to me like the figure in the first card, who is struggling to make her way up the long, long path, is thrown into upheaval when the MOUNTAIN ITSELF (in the Thunderbolt card) suddenly stands up and tosses everyone who’s trying to climb him off their path.

To me, this might mean that I’m being really dogged about something–committed to some course of action–without seeing the bigger picture. And that if I need my efforts to be redirected, or simply halted, the course that I’m on will suddenly give me a serious wake-up call.

Then, with the Knight of Pents/Slowing Down, I feel that after the upheaval, I’m returned to a more grounded, more manageable task. I believe I’ll be glad to not have to climb that whole freaking mountain and will feel relieved to just do what’s right in front of me.

    Thanks!
