Coming out of the Tarot Closet

Do you hide the fact that you’re a Tarot reader when you’re in the company of friends, family or co-workers?

Are you worried about what others may think of you if they knew you were totally into Tarot cards?

Your not alone! Most of us Tarot lovers have felt this way at some point and perhaps still do.

  1. I don’t hide it. Although, I don’t broadcast it either.

I’m just now “coming out of the closet.” I’ve had an interest for 50+ years. My interest began with the awareness of the gypsy style with regular playing cards. {“Innocence” Osho Zen XIX}. Really taboo then.

I’ve had my cards read numerous times. I’ve owned cards, and gotten rid of them, thinking that I…. I don’t know what I was thinking. {“Postponement” Osho Zen 5 Clouds.} I bought them again. They seem to be a part of me and my life. I guess I’ve thought:

    1) I wanted to do it so bad, but I thought I wasn’t “good enough.” {“Outsider” Osho Zen 5 Rainbows} and then,

    2) TOO OLD!! {“Mind” Osho Zen Page Clouds} I can tell myself all kinds of crap! (But that doesn’t mean it’s true)

    3) “Guilt” {Osho Zen 8 Clouds}. How could I spend time learning something that has no value to those around me? How dare I do something for me?

When I was first “united” with your Daily Tarot Girl site {“Sharing” Osho Zen Queen Fire}, I don’t know how it came about but, something changed in me. (Serendipitous! -if that’s not a word, I’m making it one) And here I am posting and breaking out
    {“Breakthrough – Osho Zen XI}.

Thank you for helping me to find enough “Courage”{ Osho Zen VIII} in myself to go on this {“Adventure” Osho Zen Page Rainbows} having a {“New Vision” Osho Zen XIV}. By {“Turning In” Osho Zen 4 Water}, and being {“Receptive” Osho Zen Queen Water} to my {“Guidance” Osho Zen 3 Rainbows}, I am {“Experiencing” Osho Zen 3 Fire} an {“Integration” Osho Zen XIV} of my{“Consciousness” Osho Zen Ace Clouds}, Everyday I see myself {“Flowering” Osho Zen Queen Rainbows}.

I love my life of {“Ordinariness” Osho Zen 8 Rainbows}. However, now I am learning a new way of {“Playfulness” Osho Zen Page Fire} and a new way to use my {“Creativity” Osho Zen III}. Along with {“Patience” Osho Zen 7 Rainbows} I will have my {“Dream” Osho Zen 6 Water} beyond {“Illusion” Osho Zen XX}.

    1. Sharon, I am so thrilled you’re finding my site inspiring 🙂 And I love how you’ve just crafted several sentences with the Osho Zen deck – that’s amazing, I love it!!!
      Hugs,
      Kate

  2. I hide it like a champ! For 2 reasons….

    1) I live in the Bible belt and folks already damn me to hell for not going to church. I get flyers left on my desk and in my mailbox about how good their church is and how my immortal soul will not survive without them.

    2) The few I have shared want free readings, often when I am in the middle of something more important
