Find your own definition of “sexy”

veronica 2Veronica is my nefarious Tarot reading twin – she’s just like me except she drinks all day, loves offending people and honestly….she has way more fun! Let’s see what ridiculous advice she has for us today…

Druidcraft Tarot

A few months ago I stopped shaving my armpits. Why? Because I think it’s sexy.

Although no one else does. Yet.

But just you wait – I think I’m onto something.

My point is this – The Star is all about relaxed sensuality, going with the forces of nature and just being all round chill.

My armpit hair wants to grow, so I let it. Go with the flow and don’t try to fight nature.

Our lame, predictable society tells us that we must constantly fight against nature in order to be sexy – like waxing all your body hair off, slathering nasty antiperspirant on your pits and ….well, come to think of it, most of this violence is against armpits.

Anyhow, not doing this stuff is a small act of rebellion and it feels divine! I’m not saying you should be hairy and smelly – maybe that’s not your thing, but just let go a little, don’t fight your body so much….

Even though we can’t really see it, I’m willing to be The Star has armpit hair…in fact, I’d bet my left pit stain on it!

Which deck is the card from? ( Sorry, I couldn’t see if you mentioned it somewhere. )
Veronica is very sassy, love her attitude, the group gift last week was hilarious. Thanks Kate.

This card is from the Druidcraft deck (sorry, I totally forgot to put a caption on the photo!)
Glad you enjoy Veronica as much as I do 😉

I totally agree! Women should stop being stigmatized for having body hair. Besides waxing fricking hurts! Love your authenticity Veronica!

I’m with you on all the fuss about how we look, how we dress, how we always have to smell like a fresh bouquet of roses, even outdoors in 90 degrees heat! I’d like to see those that think this way, you put on layers of chemical makeup, mascara, pantyhose and be out in the sun. You sure would quickly change your opinion when you can feel this stuff sliding down off you face, taking your skin with it!

You’re both right, we shouldn’t have to shave if we don’t want to. After all it wouldn’t be there in the first place if we didn’t need it! There are many old ways as Donnalee said, to stop sweating and smell. And as for bugs, a couple of good fans strategically placed takes care of mosquito’s. So does some natural oils put on thin stripped faux leather bracelets when not doing the patio thing.

Oh and since this is a Sisterhood Bitch chat.
Taro artist’s please put some beautiful dresses on us! We are quite aware of what our naked body looks like, we don’t need to be staring at it on the cards. If you want to keep the nudity in, fine, then I say, bring on the naked men! Would like to see the feedback if you had to look at yourselves nude all the time when using the cards! lol

    • Kate says:

Love your spunkiness, Marie! Although I love seeing naked women on Tarot cards, and this particular deck has an equal amount of naked men….I’ll see if I can post one of them for next week for you 🙂

    Vanity Fair.

  5. nikkiana says:

Admittedly, I stopped shaving my pits because of a limited budget and like food more than I like hairless armpits… but I have to say, the look’s kinda grown on me (that wasn’t intended to be a pun… I swear!)

  6. Donnalee says:

To me, it’s like when everyone kills life randomly and with no insight by putting down that horrible chemical-orange mulch, and using those stupid ground blowdryers for no real reason except it’s what people are paid to do these days: burn up plants and earth and grass and bugs with loud polluting things that are not even regulated as far as their poisonous emissions go (yucky fact of the day–let’s get that changed sometime soon!). In ‘the old days’, which weren’t long ago, ‘life itself’ was okay: it was expected that there would be a little dirt here and there, like an ecosystem at the base of trees, since leaves fall off and rot and make mulch for the tree and all, thus perpetuating life. It is so freaky that the world is poisoned, this ‘perfectability of humankind’ thing, since humans mess with nature so much that they don’t know where to stop, even when it kills themselves and what they value. SO SAD AND STRANGE.

Anyhow, I’m with you: I have never shaved and was always a hot babe! ahahaha!

I’m with you on all of this, Donnalee. I think women’s armpits is somehow a strange reflection of how we treat nature! Have you ever read any books by Stephen Harrod Buhner? His books are fabulous and I think you’d like them 🙂
