Tarot Reading for Dec 12 – 18

For this reading I’m in the Christmas mood – I’ve got my tree up, it’s snowing outside and my kitty is curled up next to me. I’m using the Hezicos Tarot for this reading….

As always, you are invited to share your own interpretation of these cards in the comments below 🙂

Have a great week!

  1. Hi Kate! I think the time is here to cheat on some of not so important things ( try not to be so overwhelmed by your’to do list’ and pending tasks and plan to spend more time with your family.

  2. Hi, Kate!
Thanks for such a lovely Christmas-y video, – you really do have a life to be proud of! Such a super tree, perfect decorations, a purring contented kitty, even falling snow outside, helpfully on cue, too!
Your puzzlement about interpreting the Seven of Swords, though, prompts me to wonder if my own workaround on understanding this card (and maybe others, too) might help out, here?
I find I often hear snatches of music with my mind’s ear, when seeking intuition about the meanings of some of the more difficult cards.
I wonder if you and maybe other Tarot enthusiasts ever get this, too?
The Seven Of Swords for me, in this way, triggers “I Made It Through The Rain”.
The song’s mood and theme, – seems to tell of someone who has had a hard time of it but steadfastly has refused to yield to external attacks and pressure to abandon their beliefs and principles,
Instead of caving in, and by having the courage of their convictions, the subject has been proved right and has been vindicated in taking the stand they did, – albeit ending up a little battered and bruised in the process!
The song’s lyrics do seem, to me at least, to illustrate well the abstract message of this (otherwise somewhat confusing) card’s imagery.
Similarly, for me, the Two of Wands in your reading, seems to match the exciting spirit of “Something’s Coming”, from West Side Story.
The lyrics depict someone sensing the imminent arrival of (maybe!) a wish-come-true and sitting tight, while holding tightly on, – with great expectations!
Your drawn third card, likewise, seems to me, perfectly to match the sentiments of the lyrics of the song “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” from Gypsy (!).
Looked at in this way, the three cards, taken together, do seem to harmonise with one another and tell a very plausible and coherent story.
I’d be very interested in your own take on this idea, Kate.
Would your own choices of song lyrics differ from mine, perhaps?
Also, I wonder if, for some of us, this might be a powerful technique for easily memorising the meanings of all the other Tarot cards, too, for instance?
    Over to you!
Many thanks, anyway, for all these inspiring weekly video-readings of yours, Kate, – and best wishes to you for the best Christmas and New Year ever!
    Luv,
    Zoe

    1. Zoe, this is such a fascinating way of interpreting Tarot cards – thank you for sharing it here. It sounds like you are probably one of those clairaudient people who are very connected with sound and music. I am more visual, so I’ve never hear songs or lyrics while reading, so it was nice to get your take on this reading – it added a really neat dimension to it! Thank you 🙂 I think that would be a really fun tool for learning and understanding the cards – especially for people who love musicals!!!

  3. Your interpretations for the 2 of wands and the 10 of cups are spot on (for me). You asked for more on the Seven of Swords:

Like a bridge over troubled waters, you are called upon to make some choices. You are over burdened with challenges and must leave some behind for the tricky road ahead. A cold wind blows. A storm is coming. You are in for a rough journey. A balancing act. You must choose wisely on what to keep and what to leave behind. (In RWC, this is the thief card, but I don’t see that in this deck).

So it looks like you will have some choices to make in the middle of the week after some deep contemplation, but the results of those efforts will pay off at the end of the week with friends and family. The stormy road won’t be very long, because of wise choices early.

    Happy holidays,
    Tim

Due to the season, for both pagans and Christians , I look at this reading overall as making secret plans for the family for the holidays. The contemplation of the two of rods, the secretive behavior of the seven of swords, and the gathering of those you love in the ten of cups.

  5. The third card the woman an child r wearing the same clothes and hairstyle . To me that would indicate someone will have identified twins

  6. Hi Kate, I feel that the 7 Swords is telling us to watch our back as there is a “sneaky”untrusting person coming up behind us you can see by the direction of his/her face moving up behind you. And there you are sitting looking content maybe planning your next step forward. But to remember how lucky we are to have such a great bond and happiness with family and friends who are always with you especially if a difficult situation arises.
Beautiful Christmas tree and snow, Beautiful. We have really hot weather for our Christmas time. All the best in happiness for the festive season.
